Metro Jam returns for our 34th year and we are once again offering one of the most eclectic rosters of national, regional and local artists that this area has ever seen! We are proud to have grown into Manitowoc's premier musical event and are able to bring you two great days of music, featuring a total of ten different acts! It's all presented FREE of charge at downtown Manitowoc's MetroStage in Washington Park, located at Washington and S. 12th Streets, on Friday evening June 22, and all day Saturday, June 23, 2012.
Once again on Friday evening, the Manitowoc Recreation Department will provide children's games and face painting. The fun starts at 5:30pm on Friday evening and runs until 9:30pm. Bring the whole family down after work for an evening of family entertainment and great music. On Saturday the music gets underway at 12 noon and runs all day until the final note is hit at 10pm. Come on down and groove with us!
Food and beverages will be available at the Manitowoc Jaycees concessions stand throughout the weekend, with profits being used to support special projects in the commumity. Please note that carry-ins are discouraged at Metro Jam. The Manitowoc Jaycees, our long-term partner in Metro Jam, appreciates you patronage which helps to support their many local community efforts ensuring that the Manitowoc area continues to be a great place to live, work and play.
Metro Jam continues our 34-year tradition of being the Lakeshore's most original and diverse FREE music festival. This FREE admission event however would not be possible without the generous contributions of our presenting sponsors NextEra Energy Resources - Point Beach Nuclear Plant and Cher-Make Sausage. We also want to thank this year's Media Partners Classic Rock Radio - WQTC FM/ WOMT/ Lake 98.1 and Herald Times Reporter Manitowoc County WEEKEND as well as the many other local businesses who support Metro Jam.
